Tectona Living (“Tectona Living,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is the name behind this website and the objects, stories and Services it offers. Tectona Living sits within the wider Tectona Grandis world, carrying the same regard for material and craft, expressed here at a lighter, more everyday scale.

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) set out the understanding between Tectona Living and anyone who browses, shops with, contributes to, or otherwise uses this site (“you”). Simply by visiting or ordering from us, you are agreeing to these Terms, along with any policies referenced here.

Please read through before you use the site. If any part of this doesn’t sit right with you, we’d ask that you not use the site or Services. Continuing to browse or shop with us after that point means you accept these Terms as they stand.

This site is built and hosted on Shopify’s commerce platform, which powers the technical side of how we sell to you.

We may add new features, tools or corners of the site over time; when we do, they’ll fall under these same Terms. We keep the current version live on this page, and it’s worth a periodic check, since continued use after an update means you’re on board with the change.

You confirm that you’re at least the age of majority where you live, or, if a minor is using the site under your account, that you’ve given permission for that.

The site and everything on it is meant for lawful, personal use. You agree not to use it in a way that breaks any law applicable to you, and not to introduce anything destructive, including malicious code, worms or viruses, into it.

If any of the above is breached, we may end your access to the Services without further notice.

We can decline to provide the Service to anyone, for any reason, at our discretion.

Information you send us, aside from payment details, may travel across networks unencrypted and get adapted for technical reasons along the way. Card details, however, are always encrypted in transit.

Nothing on this site, including its content, design, access, or the Service itself, may be copied, resold, or otherwise exploited without our written permission.

Section headings throughout this document are there for ease of reading only, and don’t change how the Terms are interpreted.

We try to keep things accurate and current, but we can’t promise that everything on the site is complete, correct or up to date at any given moment. Treat it as general information rather than the final word. For anything important, check with a more authoritative source before deciding.

Some content here may be historical and kept for reference rather than relevance. We may change the site at any time, and while we don’t owe you an update, keeping an eye on changes yourself is on you.

Prices, product details and the Service itself can shift without advance warning. We may modify, pause or withdraw any part of it at any time.

We won’t be responsible to you or anyone else for a price change, a paused feature, or a discontinued Service.

We may, at our discretion, limit who can buy, where we ship, or how much of something is available, and we can discontinue a piece at any time. Any offer made here is void wherever that would be against local law.

We do our best to represent colour and finish accurately in photography, but screens vary, and we can’t guarantee your display matches the object exactly. Material pieces, in particular, carry natural variation by design.

Use this text to share information about your brand with your customers. Describe a product, share announcements, or welcome customers to your store.

We don’t promise that every product, Service or piece of information will meet your expectations, or that the Service will always run free of errors.

We can decline or adjust any order, including limiting how many of one item a person, household or address can buy, and we may reach out by email or phone if something about your order changes.

We reserve the right to question and restrict orders that look like they’re for resale or bulk distribution rather than personal use.

From time to time, the site may connect you with tools built by others, which sit outside our monitoring or control. Where we do this, it’s offered ‘as is,’ without any promise on our part, and any use of them is your call and your risk. It’s worth checking that third party’s own terms before relying on their tool.

Any new tools we introduce later will also fall under these Terms.

Some content or links on this site may lead to third party pages we don’t run or vouch for. We’re not responsible for what’s on those sites, and any issue with a third party’s product or Service should go to that third party directly, not to us.

If you share ideas, feedback, entries or other material with us, invited or not, you’re agreeing that we can use, edit, publish or otherwise put that content to work, without owing you payment, confidentiality, or a reply.

We may, but don’t have to, remove anything you post that we consider unlawful, offensive or otherwise out of step with these Terms.

You’re responsible for what you submit: it shouldn’t infringe someone else’s rights, contain anything unlawful or harmful, or misrepresent who you are.

Anything personal you share with us through the store is handled under our Privacy Policy.

Every so often, something on the site, such as a description, a price, or a shipping detail, may contain an error or omission. We can correct these, change information, or cancel an order affected by them, even after you’ve placed it, without prior notice.

We’re not obliged to refresh every piece of information on the site, and a listed ‘updated’ date shouldn’t be read as confirmation that everything nearby has been reviewed.

Alongside anything else set out in these Terms, please don’t use the site to:

• Break any law, local or otherwise
• Encourage someone else to break the law
• Infringe on our intellectual property, or anyone else’s
• Harass, demean or discriminate against anyone
• Post false or misleading information
• Upload viruses or other harmful code
• Collect other people’s personal data without consent
• Spam, scrape, or crawl the site
• Act for any obscene or unlawful purpose
• Interfere with the site’s security

Breaking any of the above may result in us ending your access to the Service.

Everything you see here, including the Tectona Living name and logo, our product designs, photography, imagery, illustrations, packaging, written content and the overall look and feel of this site, belongs to Tectona Living or is used with permission, and is protected under applicable intellectual property law.

This means our products and the images of them are proprietary to Tectona Living. Nothing here gives you a right to reproduce, copy, modify, adapt, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or otherwise use our designs, images or content, in whole or in part, for any commercial or public purpose, without our prior written consent.

You are welcome to share our content for personal, non commercial purposes, such as on social media, provided you credit Tectona Living and don’t alter or misrepresent it. Any other use, including manufacturing, replicating or adapting our product designs, falls outside what these Terms allow.

If you believe your own intellectual property has been used on this site without permission, please get in touch with us so we can look into it.

We can’t promise the Service will always be up, on time, secure or free of errors, nor that anything it produces will be fully accurate or dependable.

We may pull the Service temporarily or end it altogether, without notice. Using it, or not being able to, is at your own risk. Beyond what we’ve explicitly promised, the Service and everything delivered through it come ‘as is’ and ‘as available,’ without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the extent the law allows, Tectona Living and our people, including directors, staff, partners, contractors and suppliers, won’t be liable for any loss, damage or claim arising from your use of the Service or anything bought through it, however that loss came about. Where local law doesn’t allow limiting liability this way, our responsibility is capped at whatever that law does permit.

If a claim arises from your breach of these Terms, or from your breach of the law or someone else’s rights, you agree to cover Tectona Living and our people, including reasonable legal costs, against that claim.

Should any part of these Terms be found unlawful or unenforceable, that part is simply set aside, and the rest of the Terms carry on as normal.

Anything owed or triggered before these Terms end continues to apply afterward.

These Terms hold until either of us ends them: you, by stepping away from the site or letting us know you’re done; us, if we believe you’ve broken these Terms, at any time and without notice. Either way, you remain responsible for anything outstanding up to that point.

Not enforcing a right under these Terms once doesn’t mean we’ve given it up for good.

These Terms, together with any policies we’ve posted, make up the full agreement between you and Tectona Living, replacing any earlier version or conversation on the subject. Where wording is ambiguous, it won’t automatically be read against whoever drafted it.

These Terms, and any separate agreement under which we provide you Services, are governed by the laws of India.

We may update this page at our discretion, and the current version always lives here. Checking back now and then is on you. Continuing to use the site after a change means you’re accepting it.
